GETTING STARTED WITH
CADENCE SPEECH THERAPY

STEP 1: GET IN TOUCH

Contact us via email at allegra@cadencespeech.com or click here to schedule your free initial consultation. If you have questions or concerns about how teletherapy works, we will demonstrate how teletherapy works during our initial consultation.

If reaching out directly, you will receive a return message within 48 hours.

STEP 2: CONSULTATION

During your free initial consultation, you will have the opportunity to ask questions, discuss you or your child's speech and developmental history, and receive recommendations on the next best steps. Following the consultation, if speech or stuttering therapy is recommended, we will schedule your initial appointment.

STEP 3: ATTEND YOUR FIRST SESSION

All new clients will participate in an initial assessment or screening so we can best understand present speech behaviors. If you are coming to Cadence Speech with a recent evaluation, we will review your previous evaluation report and fill in any missing pieces during our first session.  If you have not had a previous evaluation and/or plan to submit to insurance for reimbursement, we offer formal evaluations with standardized testing measures. This initial session is also a chance for us to develop your treatment plan and goals.

STEP 4: MAKE PROGRESS ON YOUR GOALS

Depending on your current skill levels and therapy goals, clients typically attend sessions weekly or twice a week. Speech and stuttering therapy sessions are 30-, 45-, or 60-minutes in length and are offered online via our teletherapy platform. (Click here to learn more about teletherapy).  We will take regular progress notes and update goals as necessary.

STEP 5: SUCCESS!

Our goal is to help you or your child achieve age-appropriate speech skills and/or functional fluency. Once your goals are met and you have mastered the skills we have taught, we offer ongoing check-ins at your preferred frequency.
